Empowering Minds: We're in it Together
On April 18th from 12pm to 8pm at American Legion Post 26 we will be having two guest speakers, Sandra Cavanaugh and Charlene Kay Quade from Quade Law will be speaking on Empowerment:

Through this event you will hear from some very empowering people who not only instill empowerment within their selves, but they inspire others to feel empowered to make a difference.
Charlene Kay Quade-Charlene K. Quade, attorney, specializes in Special Needs Trust Planning, Trust Administration, and Estate Planning for persons with disabilities and their families. She established C.K. Quade Law, PLLC in 2006, and her practice includes: Conservatorship, Guardianship, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Guardianship, Social Security Disability, Special Education Law, Special Needs Trusts, and Supplemental Needs Trusts. A founding board member, she continues as a member of the Idaho Guardianship and Fiduciary Association, serves as a board member of the Trust Estate Professionals of Idaho, and is a member of the Idaho State Bar Taxation, Probate and Trust Law Section.
Charlene has over 30 years of personal and professional experience in the area of helping persons with disabilities and their families. A lifelong advocate for and mother of an adult with Williams Syndrome, Charlene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and has worked as a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP). In the past, she served as chair of the Interagency Early Childhood Intervention Committee (Mankato, MN), co-chair of the Parent Special Education Advisory Council (Wayzata, MN), and Regional Director (MN, WI, ND, SD) for the Williams Syndrome Association of Detroit, MI. She has authored numerous articles on childhood disability issues and lectures around the state on estate planning and disability matters; most recently presenting Legal Advocacy and Planning For Life After 18!
Sandra Cavanaugh- Throughout a professional career of more than 30 years, Sandra Cavanaugh has worked extensively as a writer, director, producer, actress, public speaker, singer/songwriter, consultant and educator.
For 27 years, Sandra has taught, Acting, Voice, Movement, Improvisation, Shakespeare, Playwriting, Screenwriting, Arts Management and Directing at universities and conservatories across the country. She has served on the faculty of The University of Utah - Professional Actor Training Program (Associate Professor), Portland Actors Conservatory (Faculty Chair), Clackamas College (Interim Chair), The University of Iowa, The New Heritage Studio (Artistic Director), The National Shakespeare Conservatory, Boise State University, and Portland State University, among others. She has served as an administrator, developed and written curriculum, and coached teachers on the art of teaching. She has been a guest lecturer in theatre at more than 100 schools, universities, workshops, conventions, and festivals across the country. In addition Sandra has taught acting, creative writing, playwriting, and imagination workshops and classes for children K-12. She has worked extensively with at-risk children and children with disabilities and has done numerous residencies in grade schools, jr. highs and high schools. She has worked in every school district in Idaho as well as the MESD in Oregon, Iowa City public schools, and school districts in Utah, California, and New York as well as many others.
Don't go home hungry! We will have a pig roast after the speakers with live entertainment and excellent food! Dinner is by donation!
